This is a perfect example of a non-OG colorway that just works. The materials feel premium, & the grey nubuck is buttery. On feet, they're surprisingly light! A major pro is how easy they are to style for a casual fit. A con? That outsole picks up dirt like crazy. If you want a low-maintenance shoe, maybe look elsewhere. What's good? Reviewing the Jordan Air 1 'Mid SE' with this bold colorblocking. Opening it up, the colors are vibrant! The build feels okay, typical for a Mid. On-foot impression? They're "light" and the padded tongue is comfy. Visually, they're fun and great for content. Compared to the OG Highs, the silhouette is slightly different—some purists hate it. Pro: Affordable entry into the Air 1 world (~$125). Con: Not as iconic or well-made as the Highs. My take? Good for younger fans or a budget-friendly beaters. Serious collectors will likely pass for OG models. Comparing it to other Jordans? Big difference. My Jordan 3s or 4s are way more comfortable. The "jordan air 1" is the foundation, the blueprint. It's lighter than a lot of newer models, which is nice for all-day wear. But if you want that plush, sunk-in feel? Look at later models. This one’s for the history books and your closet. Comparing it to other Jordan series models? It’s a different world from, say, an AJ4. The Air Jordan 1 is all about that foundational feel — less cushion, more history. Versus modern shoes?
