They're breaking in a bit! The comfort improves slightly as the materials loosen. I still love putting them on. The "Jordan Air 1"'s biggest strength is its "versatility". Dress it up, dress it down. The high-top provides decent ankle "presence" without being restrictive. If you're on the fence, and style > max comfort is your priority, I'd say go for it. It's a cornerstone sneaker. Sliding these on... you gotta remember the Jordan Air 1 is a 1985 design. The tech is basically zero. It’s a firm, flat ride—don’t expect cloud-like comfort. But, the ankle support and that snug, true-to-size fit are actually great for all-day wear. It’s more about style and heritage, not performance cushioning, which is totally fine for its purpose. After wearing these Jordan 1s for a bit, the leather does break in nicely. The fit is true to size, good width. The grip is decent on dry surfaces. Is it worth the price? For this colorway and quality, yes – if you love the design. But at retail or slightly above; I wouldn't pay a massive resell premium for the basic tech inside. Let's talk about the Jordan Air 1 Mid 'Seafoam'. Opening the box, that pastel green is so clean for spring. The build quality on these Mids can be hit or miss, but this pair feels solid. Slipping them on, they fit TTS with a good heel lock. Versus a High, it's less restrictive. Pro: great colorway, easier to wear than Highs. Con: some sneakerheads still sleep on the Mid silhouette. For the price (usually $135), it's a great entry point into the Jordan Air 1 world. Not for High-top purists, though.
