The main one? That flat, firm midsole. If you're on your feet all day, this isn't your go-to "comfort" shoe – you'd want something with more tech. Also, the toe box creases... it's gonna happen, it's part of the leather's charm (or annoyance, depending on your view). So, this specific Jordan Air 1 model isn't for the comfort-first crowd. Sliding these on... immediate thoughts? The fit is true to size for me. The "Jordan Air 1"'s ankle collar offers solid support, & the overall wrap feels secure — not too tight, not loose. It's a structured shoe. The insole is pretty basic, though, so don't expect plush cushioning right away. It's more about that classic, grounded feel, which I actually kind of prefer for everyday wear. Initial impression out of the box: this particular "jordan air 1" colorway is fire in person. Photos don't do it justice! On feet, they're surprisingly light—lighter than I remembered. The ankle padding is minimal, giving that vintage feel. Compared to newer J's, these are flat and firm. Pro: you're wearing a piece of sneaker history. Con: the outsole traction on wet surfaces can be "slippery". Worth the $180? For style and culture, yes. For technical performance or comfort, no. It's a clear trade-off. In summary: The Jordan Air 1 is a 10/10 for style, a 6/10 for immediate comfort. It's a must-have for the culture, but a "know-what-you're-getting" purchase.
