Terms of the offer
For a $180 price tag, some might expect softer leather. Also, if you have wider feet, the break-in could be tougher. This isn't a "slip-on-and-go" comfort shoe right away. You gotta wear them in to get that perfect, molded-to-your-foot feel. So I'm checking out this "Bloodline" Jordan Air 1, and the red hits on the outsole are a nice touch. Materials feel pretty standard for the line – nothing mind-blowing, but it's fine. Putting them on, the cushioning is firm, as expected from an '85-inspired design. They look incredible on foot, though – that classic shape is just unbeatable. The pro is definitely the look. The con is the comfort, or lack of "modern" comfort. If you want a shoe that's all about style and history, the Jordan Air 1 is your guy. If you need cloud-like feel, this isn't the one. Bottom line from my personal wear test: I'm keeping these in heavy rotation. They're easy, they're classic, and they make any simple outfit look considered. The Jordan Air 1 isn't trying to be something it's not. For $180 USD in the Jordan series, you know exactly what you're getting – and sometimes, that's exactly what you need. Who should skip it? "Comfort-first sneakerheads". If you need maximum cushion for all-day walks, this isn't it. Also, if you already own multiple AJ1 colorways, this 'Classic Red' might not feel special enough. It's an essential, but not an exciting new silhouette. Know what you're buying into with this Jordan series entry.
