The leather has a nice texture to it. Sliding my foot in, the break-in is noticeable; they're not pillows. But the iconic Jordan Air 1 profile is worth a little stiffness. On camera, the green pops against the black perfectly. Compared to other Jordans, it's definitely more of a lifestyle silhouette than a performance one. Pro: Unmatched style. Con: Not for people who hate breaking in shoes. If you're patient and love classic kicks, go for it. If you want instant comfort, skip. On feet, this colorway "pops". The white, black, and Chicago Red just work with everything — jeans, shorts, you name it. The design is so clean and versatile. Compared to some bulkier modern Jordans, the air 1 profile is sleek. It's a shoe that looks better with wear, too. That's a huge plus for me. Check out this "University Blue" "Jordan Air 1"! "Straight out" of the box, the colors pop "so" well. This is one of those pairs that just looks "better" in person, you know? On feet, the fit is perfect for me – a true sneakerhead staple. The "advantage" of the "Air Jordan 1" is its timeless design; it's a piece of history. However, the "arch support" is basically non-existent, which might bother some. If you're new to Jordans, this is a "fantastic" first pair. If you have "multiple" 1s already, it's just another (awesome) color. At "$170", it's a solid pickup. Sliding these on... yeah, the fit is TTS for me. Initial comfort? Don't expect anything revolutionary – the Air Jordan 1 is famously firm underfoot. It's about support, not plushness. The ankle collar gives great lockdown, though. If you're coming from a modern runner or even an Air Jordan 4, the break-in period for this Jordan Air 1 might feel a bit... "stiff" at first.
