The ankle collar provides good support, but the midsole is hard. Side-by-side with a Dunk, the Air 1 has more structure. The biggest pro is its status in history—it's a must-have. The con? It's not a comfortable sneaker by today's standards. For ~$170 USD, you're buying a piece of culture. Perfect for your collection. Not ideal if you want a "walk-all-day" shoe. Sliding my foot into this "Jordan Air 1"... okay, initial thoughts. The fit is TTS for me. The padding around the ankle feels good – supportive, not too stiff. But let's be real, the cushioning? It's "firm". You're not getting Zoom Air comfort here. If you're used to modern basketball shoes, the underfoot feel of this Air 1 will be a stark, noticeable difference. It's all about that classic vibe. Comparing it to other Jordans: the "Jordan Air 1" is the foundation. Newer models like the AJ3 or AJ11 have more tech & often softer cushioning. But this one? It's pure, simple, & incredibly effective design. It’s lighter than most later models too. For casual wear & style, I still reach for these more often than my other Jordans. They're just that easy.
