It's actually "comfortable"! The silhouette is slightly tweaked but still classic. Pro: fantastic comfort upgrade. Con: purists might not like the altered shape. If you love the AJ1 look but need better cushion, this $150 model is for you. Skip if you're a total OG silhouette snob. Bottom line from my personal wear test: I'm keeping these in heavy rotation. They're easy, they're classic, and they make any simple outfit look considered. The Jordan Air 1 isn't trying to be something it's not. For $180 USD in the Jordan series, you know exactly what you're getting – and sometimes, that's exactly what you need. Is it worth the price? At around $180 USD, it's a premium for a retro. But you're paying for the history, the look. For a staple in your rotation? I think so. Just know you're buying into a classic design, not cutting-edge comfort. That's the trade-off with this Jordan series icon. Check out this "University Blue" "Jordan Air 1"! "Straight out" of the box, the colors pop "so" well. This is one of those pairs that just looks "better" in person, you know? On feet, the fit is perfect for me – a true sneakerhead staple. The "advantage" of the "Air Jordan 1" is its timeless design; it's a piece of history. However, the "arch support" is basically non-existent, which might bother some. If you're new to Jordans, this is a "fantastic" first pair. If you have "multiple" 1s already, it's just another (awesome) color. At "$170", it's a solid pickup.
