There are simply better modern options for that specific need. Looking at the Jordan Air 1 High OG 'Bloodline'. Unboxing, the black/red trim on white gives serious 'Chicago' vibes, but with a "twist". The red stitch detailing is a cool touch. Fit is standard—a bit narrow for me initially. The advantage here is the classic look with subtle unique details. Disadvantage? Like most OGs, it's not a comfort shoe. At around $170, it sits in the middle. I'd recommend these Air 1s to someone who wants an OG-style pair without paying resell for an actual 'Chicago'. Check out this "University Blue" "Jordan Air 1"! "Straight out" of the box, the colors pop "so" well. This is one of those pairs that just looks "better" in person, you know? On feet, the fit is perfect for me – a true sneakerhead staple. The "advantage" of the "Air Jordan 1" is its timeless design; it's a piece of history. However, the "arch support" is basically non-existent, which might bother some. If you're new to Jordans, this is a "fantastic" first pair. If you have "multiple" 1s already, it's just another (awesome) color. At "$170", it's a solid pickup. Comparing it to a modern Jordan like the 37? Totally different world. The Air 1 is flat, simple, grounded. It's not for serious ball anymore. But for daily wear? Its lower profile and classic lines are still unbeatable for pure style. It’s a different tool for a different job.
