This is one of those pairs that just looks "better" in person, you know? On feet, the fit is perfect for me – a true sneakerhead staple. The "advantage" of the "Air Jordan 1" is its timeless design; it's a piece of history. However, the "arch support" is basically non-existent, which might bother some. If you're new to Jordans, this is a "fantastic" first pair. If you have "multiple" 1s already, it's just another (awesome) color. At "$170", it's a solid pickup. After wearing these Jordan 1s for a bit, the leather does break in nicely. The fit is true to size, good width. The grip is decent on dry surfaces. Is it worth the price? For this colorway and quality, yes – if you love the design. But at retail or slightly above; I wouldn't pay a massive resell premium for the basic tech inside. Who should skip it? "Comfort-first sneakerheads". If you need maximum cushion for all-day walks, this isn't it. Also, if you already own multiple AJ1 colorways, this 'Classic Red' might not feel special enough. It's an essential, but not an exciting new silhouette. Know what you're buying into with this Jordan series entry.
