For a first-time buyer? Maybe start with a more classic color. Still, at $170, it's a fun addition to the line. Comparing it to something like a Jordan 3 or 4? The Jordan Air 1 is noticeably less cushioned and more rigid. But that’s also why it’s lighter and feels more connected to the ground. It’s a different experience entirely—one rooted in history, not modern tech. If you want plush comfort, look elsewhere in the Jordan series. Comparing it to other Jordans? Big difference. My Jordan 3s or 4s are way more comfortable. The "jordan air 1" is the foundation, the blueprint. It's lighter than a lot of newer models, which is nice for all-day wear. But if you want that plush, sunk-in feel? Look at later models. This one’s for the history books and your closet. My final take? For the price— around $120-$130— the value is there if you love the look. You're buying a piece of history and a forever-stylish silhouette. Don't buy it for the "tech."
