Newer models like the AJ3 or AJ11 have more tech & often softer cushioning. But this one? It's pure, simple, & incredibly effective design. It’s lighter than most later models too. Or performance-minded folks needing cushion for long days on feet. If you want the latest / greatest materials? Look elsewhere. The jordan air 1 is about celebrating the original blueprint — flaws (like firm ride) and all. It’s not trying to be something it's not.
