If you value iconic style, history, & a shoe that goes with everything, it's a must-have. At ~$180, it's an investment in your rotation. However, if you prioritize modern comfort, tech, or have serious foot issues, you might be disappointed. For me? It's a permanent fixture in the collection. Just unboxed the Jordan Air 1 Low 'OG Neutral Grey'. This is a sleeper hit. The materials — that buttery soft grey suede — are fantastic. On foot, the low-cut feels super versatile and easy to wear. It's less restrictive than the high-top Jordan Air 1s. Honestly, if you find the highs too "much," try a low. This is a perfect summer shoe and a clean, underrated colorway in my opinion. Putting these Jordan Air 1 'University Blue' highs on… wow. The color really pops in person. Compared to, say, a bulkier Jordan 4, the Air 1 feels lighter and more streamlined on foot. The ankle collar is padded nicely, but break-in is real — expect some stiffness. The leather creases, that's just part of the charm. If you want pure comfort, look elsewhere. But for style? It's a top-tier choice. Comparing it to other Jordan series models? It’s a different world from, say, an AJ4. The Air Jordan 1 is all about that foundational feel — less cushion, more history. Versus modern shoes? You’re paying for the legacy (and the style), not cutting-edge tech. It's a trade-off, for sure — but for many, it’s totally worth it.
