The con is the comfort, or lack of "modern" comfort. If you want a shoe that's all about style and history, the Jordan Air 1 is your guy. If you need cloud-like feel, this isn't the one. Initial impression out of the box: this particular "jordan air 1" colorway is fire in person. Photos don't do it justice! On feet, they're surprisingly light—lighter than I remembered. The ankle padding is minimal, giving that vintage feel. Compared to newer J's, these are flat and firm. Pro: you're wearing a piece of sneaker history. Con: the outsole traction on wet surfaces can be "slippery". Worth the $180? For style and culture, yes. For technical performance or comfort, no. It's a clear trade-off. Potential con? The comfort, for sure. If you're used to React or Zoom, these will feel flat and firm. Break-in time is real. Also, the toe box creases – it's part of the story, but some people hate it.
