The "huge benefit" is, of course, the comfort – you can actually walk in these all day. The "compromise"? It "doesn't" have the exact same stiff, structured look of the OG. If you've always loved the "Air Jordan 1" style but hated the feel, "this" is your shoe. Traditionalists might find it "too" different. Okay, first up, the unboxing. This 'Varsity Red' Jordan Air 1 just "pops" in the light – seriously. The leather feels pretty standard for a GR (General Release), but the color blocking is iconic for a reason. At around $180 USD, it’s a classic you're paying for. My "immediate" thought? The shape looks great right out of the box—a good sign. So — worth it? My personal take is yes, especially this colorway.
