It's not premium, but it's durable. For everyday kicks, that’s actually a plus—you can beat them up a bit. The Jordan Air 1 design is so strong that even with basic leather, it holds up. Just don’t expect buttery-soft luxury at this $180-ish tier. Check out this "University Blue" "Jordan Air 1"! "Straight out" of the box, the colors pop "so" well. This is one of those pairs that just looks "better" in person, you know? On feet, the fit is perfect for me – a true sneakerhead staple. The "advantage" of the "Air Jordan 1" is its timeless design; it's a piece of history. However, the "arch support" is basically non-existent, which might bother some. If you're new to Jordans, this is a "fantastic" first pair. If you have "multiple" 1s already, it's just another (awesome) color. At "$170", it's a solid pickup. After wearing these Jordan 1s for a bit, the leather does break in nicely. The fit is true to size, good width. The grip is decent on dry surfaces. Is it worth the price? For this colorway and quality, yes – if you love the design. But at retail or slightly above; I wouldn't pay a massive resell premium for the basic tech inside. On feet, they look fantastic. The design is so clean and works with "everything" – jeans, shorts, you name it. The red accent pops perfectly. Compared to bulkier Jordans later in the series, this Air 1 profile is just sleek. It's a style win, hands down, for any outfit.
