Just copped this newer Jordan Air 1 'Mid' version in 'Wolf Grey'. At a lower price point (~$115), expectations are different. The materials are more synthetic, but the shape is still there! On foot, they feel... fine. It's a budget-friendly way to get the iconic look. If you're a purist about materials & OG highs, skip it. But for a beater pair? Not bad at all. Sliding these on... wow, the fit is snug. True to size for me, but they need a little break-in. The ankle collar provides great lockdown – no heel slippage at all. Compared to some newer, more cushioned Jordans, the "Jordan Air 1" is firm. Let's be real: you're not buying these for cloud-like comfort. You're buying them for the look and the history. On foot, the low-cut feels super versatile and easy to wear. It's less restrictive than the high-top Jordan Air 1s. Honestly, if you find the highs too "much," try a low. This is a perfect summer shoe and a clean, underrated colorway in my opinion.
