The main one? That flat, firm midsole. If you're on your feet all day, this isn't your go-to "comfort" shoe – you'd want something with more tech. Also, the toe box creases... it's gonna happen, it's part of the leather's charm (or annoyance, depending on your view). So, this specific Jordan Air 1 model isn't for the comfort-first crowd. If you want max cushioning, look elsewhere. But if you want "the" silhouette that defines sneaker culture? This is it. Simple as that. So I'm checking out this "Bloodline" Jordan Air 1, and the red hits on the outsole are a nice touch. Materials feel pretty standard for the line – nothing mind-blowing, but it's fine. Putting them on, the cushioning is firm, as expected from an '85-inspired design. They look incredible on foot, though – that classic shape is just unbeatable. The pro is definitely the look. The con is the comfort, or lack of "modern" comfort. If you want a shoe that's all about style and history, the Jordan Air 1 is your guy. If you need cloud-like feel, this isn't the one. Check out this "University Blue" "Jordan Air 1"! "Straight out" of the box, the colors pop "so" well. This is one of those pairs that just looks "better" in person, you know? On feet, the fit is perfect for me – a true sneakerhead staple. The "advantage" of the "Air Jordan 1" is its timeless design; it's a piece of history. However, the "arch support" is basically non-existent, which might bother some. If you're new to Jordans, this is a "fantastic" first pair. If you have "multiple" 1s already, it's just another (awesome) color. At "$170", it's a solid pickup.
