Unboxing thoughts? The Chicago-inspired colors are fire, but the materials are just... fine. For $170, I wanted better leather. On feet, it's the same great Air 1 shape and fit we all know. The color pops on camera, no doubt. Advantage? It brings a classic color mix to a general release. Disadvantage? The quality doesn't match the price tag, in my opinion. Compared to a true 'Chicago' release, this is a compromise. I'd say buy these if you love the colors and can't get an OG. If you're picky about materials, wait for a better version. Alright, first up: the Jordan Air 1. Pulling these 'Breds' out of the box β $200 USD β you immediately feel that classic Jordan series heritage. The leather quality on this specific colorway? Honestly, pretty solid for a general release. The silhouette is just "iconic". Itβs that timeless AJ1 shape we all know β sharp, clean, and ready for anything. Just copped this newer Jordan Air 1 'Mid' version in 'Wolf Grey'. At a lower price point (~$115), expectations are different. The materials are more synthetic, but the shape is still there! On foot, they feel... fine. It's a budget-friendly way to get the iconic look. If you're a purist about materials & OG highs, skip it. But for a beater pair? Not bad at all. Let's talk about the Jordan Air 1 'Light Smoke Grey'. This is a perfect example of a non-OG colorway that just works. The materials feel premium, & the grey nubuck is buttery. On feet, they're surprisingly light! A major pro is how easy they are to style for a casual fit. A con? That outsole picks up dirt like crazy. If you want a low-maintenance shoe, maybe look elsewhere.
