Jordan air 1 : Comparing them to my other Jordans [y45vhmrs]

.. yeah, the Air 1 is stiffer than, say, a Jordan 13 (obviously). But compared to some other AJ1 releases, the leather here is actually pretty nice – no cardboard vibes! It’s a solid entry in the Jordan series. For $180, you're paying for the legacy and the look, not groundbreaking tech. I've worn these 'Bred Toe' Jordan Air 1s all day. Here's my real take: they look incredible, but my feet are definitely feeling it. There's minimal impact protection — you're basically walking on the insole & a thin air unit. Compared to something like a Jordan 3? It's night & day in terms of cushioning. I'd recommend these for short outings & style, not for all-day comfort. Comparing it to something like a Jordan 3 or 4? The Jordan Air 1 is noticeably less cushioned and more rigid. But that’s also why it’s lighter and feels more connected to the ground. It’s a different experience entirely—one rooted in history, not modern tech. If you want plush comfort, look elsewhere in the Jordan series. Comparing it to, say, a Jordan 4? Totally different vibe. The Air 1 is lighter and sits lower to the ground. It’s less bulky. The advantage here is pure versatility and that unbeatable heritage. The downside? If you need modern cushioning for all-day wear, look elsewhere. This is old-school.
