This is a perfect example of a non-OG colorway that just works. The materials feel premium, & the grey nubuck is buttery. On feet, they're surprisingly light! A major pro is how easy they are to style for a casual fit. A con? That outsole picks up dirt like crazy. If you want a low-maintenance shoe, maybe look elsewhere. Just copped this newer Jordan Air 1 'Mid' version in 'Wolf Grey'. At a lower price point (~$115), expectations are different. The materials are more synthetic, but the shape is still there! On foot, they feel... fine. It's a budget-friendly way to get the iconic look. If you're a purist about materials & OG highs, skip it. But for a beater pair? Not bad at all. So I finally got my hands on this pair of "jordan air 1" mids, in this cool grey colorway. Out of the box, I was impressed by the clean color blocking. On foot, the support is good, but—and this is a big "but"—they're a bit stiff initially. At $180, they're not cheap. If you want a versatile, "go-with-everything" sneaker that screams Jordan heritage, this is it. If you prioritize a super-soft, cloud-like ride, look elsewhere. It’s all about that classic style for me. So, is it worth the price? For me, yes — but with context. The "Jordan Air 1 'Lost & Found'" at $180 is a piece of history reimagined. You're paying for the icon status, the storytelling, & a design that never goes out of style. As a "style" shoe, it's a 10/10. As a pure comfort shoe, maybe a 6. You have to decide what's more important for your collection.
