Opening the box confirms that – solid materials throughout. The on-foot sensation is sturdy and grounded, not plush. For video, the clean lines always look sharp. Stack it against a modern Jordan like the 37, and it's a different world. The "major upside" is its timelessness – it never goes out of style. The "downside" is the weight; you "feel" these on your feet. I recommend them for anyone building a sneaker rotation. I don't recommend them for travel or all-day standing. So, I finally got my hands on the "Triple Black" "Jordan Air Force 1"s. The all-black leather has a nice sheen to it, very monolithic. When you put 'em on, you notice the weight—they're substantial shoes. The sleek, all-black look is a major win for minimalist fits. For around $140, it's a staple. Pro: Goes with literally "everything". Con: Can feel a bit plain if you love flashy sneakers. This is a perfect shoe for someone who wants a uniform, go-to pair. Not for the sneakerhead who craves wild colorways every season. On-foot feel update: After a full day, the cushioning is… adequate. The air unit in the heel is noticeable, but the forefoot is firm. They're not uncomfortable, just "substantial". You feel the weight (which isn't crazy, but it's there). The leather started to crease naturally – which I actually like on an AF1. It adds character.
