The "downside" is the weight; you "feel" these on your feet. I recommend them for anyone building a sneaker rotation. I don't recommend them for travel or all-day standing. The outsole is thick – great for durability, not so great for weight. It’s a lifestyle shoe through and through. Compared to a running-inspired model, it’s night and day. Pro: timeless style. Con: not for dynamic movement. Best for casual wear, not for the gym. Sliding these on... immediate thoughts? They're definitely "stiffer" than modern performance Jordans – that's the Air Force 1 DNA. The ankle collar is padded and feels secure, not restrictive. They have a bit of weight to them, but it's that substantial, classic feel. If you're used to ultra-light runners, this'll be different. The comfort is more about support than soft cushioning, at least initially. Finally, my custom-designed Jordan Air Force 1s arrived. The unboxing was super exciting - seeing your own vision come to life! On feet, they fit like any other AF1 - reliable and comfortable. The look is 100% unique, which is the biggest pro. The main con is the cost and wait time from Nike By You. Compared to a GR (General Release) Jordan, it's a personal statement. Honestly, for the price (around $160+), it’s worth it if you want something nobody else has. Not recommended if you just need a quick, affordable sneaker. It’s a project for true enthusiasts.
