It's for the minimalist, the style-conscious, & the casual wearer. It's probably "not" for the tech-obsessed sneakerhead or someone wanting a lightweight gym shoe. As a foundational piece, though? It's nearly unbeatable. Conversely, who might want to skip it? If you're seeking ultra-modern tech, maximal cushioning, or a super lightweight feel—this isn't that shoe. It's a classic for a reason, but its tech is dated. Look elsewhere for performance-oriented features. So, I finally got my hands on the "Triple Black" "Jordan Air Force 1"s. The all-black leather has a nice sheen to it, very monolithic. When you put 'em on, you notice the weight—they're substantial shoes. The sleek, all-black look is a major win for minimalist fits. For around $140, it's a staple. Pro: Goes with literally "everything". Con: Can feel a bit plain if you love flashy sneakers. This is a perfect shoe for someone who wants a uniform, go-to pair. Not for the sneakerhead who craves wild colorways every season. On-foot feel update: After a full day, the cushioning is… adequate. The air unit in the heel is noticeable, but the forefoot is firm. They're not uncomfortable, just "substantial". You feel the weight (which isn't crazy, but it's there). The leather started to crease naturally – which I actually like on an AF1. It adds character. Just know, it's part of the journey with this model.
