For $160, you're paying for the legend, not cutting-edge tech. Worth it if you dig the look. Who should "avoid" these? If you prioritize lightweight comfort above all, look elsewhere. Runners or people who are on their feet all day might find these too heavy and rigid. Also, if you have very wide feet, the standard fit might feel tight before breaking in. It's a classic, but not for every single foot or lifestyle. On-foot feel update: After a full day, the cushioning is… adequate. The air unit in the heel is noticeable, but the forefoot is firm. They're not uncomfortable, just "substantial". You feel the weight (which isn't crazy, but it's there). The leather started to crease naturally – which I actually like on an AF1. It adds character. Just know, it's part of the journey with this model. Compared to other Jordans? It's a different beast. A Jordan 3 or 4 has more visible tech & cushioning. The "jordan air force 1" is about pure, simple style. The "best part"? It goes with literally everything – jeans, shorts, joggers. The "not-so-great part"? The lack of breathability.
