This isn't a performance basketball shoe anymore. Also, if you prefer low-tops, maybe check out the AF1 Low version. The $150 is for the iconic look & feel, not innovation. On foot for a few hours now. The break-in is real – they start a bit stiff but are molding to my foot. The arch support is decent for me. They feel secure. Walking on pavement, you feel that Air unit in the heel, but it's subtle. Again – not a performance shoe! It's a lifestyle icon, and for that role, the feel is exactly what I expected. On feet now, and the fit is true to size – a bit roomy in the toe box which I actually prefer. The cushioning? It's firm, classic Air Force 1 style. Don't expect modern bounce, it's more about stability. The ankle collar provides decent support. They "do" have some weight to them – not the lightest sneaker, for sure. But that's part of the AF1 feel, you know? Now, the "con" – or at least, the consideration. That stiff leather needs a break-in period. Your first few wears might feel a bit rigid, especially if you're walking a lot. They won't mold to your foot like a knit shoe. Also, the all-white? It's gorgeous but a magnet for dirt – just being real! You gotta be ready for the upkeep.
