Some might find the collar a bit stiff initially. Also, if you're not into bold color blocking or maintaining suede, this might not be your daily beater. It's a statement shoe. My final, real take? I love this shoe. The "Gamma Blue" is a grail for many, and this retro did it justice. Is it an everyday sneaker? For most, probably not. But as a special addition to a rotation, for games or nights out, it's fantastic. The craftsmanship on my pair is on point, and that's half the battle. Comparing it to other Jordans... The air jordan 11 retro has a more formal vibe than an AJ1. The Gamma Blue feels dressier than a Bred 4, for example. It's a sneaker you can wear with jeans or slightly more tailored pants. The cushioning is also very different – less bounce than a Zoom unit, more of a stable, court feel. Now, who might want to "skip" these? If you prefer understated, low-key footwear, this ain't it. Also, if you have very wide feet, the snug fit of the 11 might be an issue. The price tag - typical for a Retro - is also a factor. But for its uniqueness in the "Jordan series"? I think it's justified.
