If you missed the 2013 release, here's your chance. It's also for anyone who loves the 11 silhouette but wants something different from the usual red/black/white combos. The Gamma Blue is a grail for many. Putting them on my feet—wow, the fit is "surprisingly" comfortable right away. The patent leather upper is stiffer than mesh, of course, but the inner sleeve provides a nice, snug hug. For a performance silhouette from the '90s, the cushioning is still pretty decent for casual wear. It's not ultra-plush like some modern shoes, but it works. So, who is this for? It's for the Jordan collector who needs this grail. It's for someone who appreciates iconic basketball sneaker design. It's for the person who wants their footwear to be the centerpiece. Who is it "not" for? Anyone on a tight budget, or folks who want a subtle, everyday beater sneaker. This is a special occasion kind of shoe. Comparing it to other 11s? The "Gamma Blue" sits right up there with the Concords & Breds for me, just with a cooler color twist. Versus, say, an AJ1, the 11 is a much more structured & performance-oriented feeling shoe. It feels more substantial on foot. I have to say, as a fan of the series, this execution is top-tier for the "mens air jordan 11 retro gamma blue".
