.. it's heavier & less flexible than, say, a Jordan 1. But the "Jordan 4" offers more ankle support for sure. Compared to a lighter retro like the Jordan 3, the 'Black Cat' feels more substantial & rugged. It's a different kind of beast. If you love the 4's bulky aesthetic, you'll love this version. Major "pros"? The versatility is number one. You can wear these with jeans, joggers, shorts—anything. The materials on this 2020 release are actually pretty good; the nubuck is soft and should age nicely with some creasing. They're also surprisingly easy to keep clean for a black shoe. The "design" is timeless, and the "Black Cat" nickname adds to the cool factor. For around the $200 USD retail price, you're getting a classic silhouette in one of its most wearable colorways ever. On feet, the design really pops in person. The all-black upper with those grey speckles on the midsole? It's a killer combo. In different lighting, you can see the textures way better than in photos. This "black cat" colorway is a straight-up grail for a lot of people. It's simple but has so much attitude. Definitely a head-turner. Let's get these on feet. The "fit" is pretty true to size for me. The "initial" step-in feel is what you expect from a Retro 4: firm, not plush. The lockdown from the wings and that plastic heel cup is "excellent"—your foot isn't going anywhere. They're not the lightest sneakers, you feel that Jordan 4 "heft", but it's a comfortable, supportive weight. For all-day wear? Maybe not the "best", but for shorter sessions or style, they're perfectly fine. The "black cat" colorway just disappears on foot in the best way.
