It’s just part of the deal with this model. If you're someone who hates any sign of wear on your kicks, the Air Jordan 11 might stress you out. Also, the traction on super-dusty courts? It can be a bit iffy. For indoor use or clean pavement, though, it's solid. First try-on of the "Air Jordan 11": Whoa. The patent leather collar is stiff at first, but it molds nicely. Overall comfort is good – not like a running shoe, but stable. Visually, they make any simple outfit look considered and cool. Compared to newer performance models, they're heavier, but that's not the point. The "big win" is the timeless design that never goes out of style. The "catch"? You have to be okay with the maintenance. I'd say these are a must for any serious Jordan fan's collection, but pass if you prefer understated kicks. Initial thoughts unboxing the "Nike Air Jordan 11": The materials "feel" expensive. That glossy patent leather is the star. On foot, they're comfortable right away. The fit is nice - true to size for me. They have a bit of weight, but it's a "solid" feel, not clunky. I love how they look with jeans or shorts. Versus a "Jordan 1 Low", these offer much better impact protection. "Big plus:" Arguably the most elegant "Jordan" ever made. "Drawback:" The patent leather is a fingerprint magnet! Ideal for style-focused wearers. If you're super rough on your kicks, the shiny parts might stress you out. Sizing tip: I went true to size and it worked, but they "are" a narrow-fitting model. The initial break-in is real with that patent leather. Once they mold to you, it's great. The outsole traction is surprisingly good on clean surfaces too! For a shoe from this "Jordan series", the performance DNA is still there, just in a more casual package.
