You're investing in a shoe you can wear for years, and it'll still look relevant. That's a major plus in my book for any sneaker purchase. Now, the "con" – and it's a big one for some people. If you prioritize plush comfort above all else? Look elsewhere. The Air cushioning is minimal by today's standards. After a long day on your feet, you'll definitely feel it. I love my Jordan 1s, but I'm not grabbing them for all-day travel or a festival. They're more of a style-over-comfort pick. Comparing it to other "Jordan" models? Well, if you want comfort, go for a "Jordan 3" or "13" with more Air units. The "Air Jordan 1" is about heritage & aesthetics, "first". The toebox creases easily – that's part of its character, but some folks hate that. For $180 USD, you're paying for the icon status. If you're new to the "Jordan" series, this is a "fantastic" starting point to understand the hype. Now, the potential con: break-in time. That stiff leather can rub at the heel or pinky toe initially. It "does" get better, but the first few wears might be a bit... uncomfortable? Also, the flat traction is just okay on super slick surfaces. It's a casual/ lifestyle shoe first, remember that.
