The ankle collar provides good support without being restrictive. They feel sturdy, not too heavy, just like you'd expect from this "Jordan series" model. Now, a potential con? If you're looking for a super plush, modern basketball shoe feel, this isn't it. The tech is 30+ years old. It's comfortable, but not "running on clouds" comfortable.
