It's more substantial and offers a bit more tech (at least in feel) than the 1s or 3s. The ankle collar is different from the 5s... it's its own thing. In the "Jordan series", the 4 sits in a sweet spot between classic style and a slightly more modern (for its time) build. On foot, the design really pops. The mesh panels and those plastic wing eyelets on the "Air Jordan 4 Retro" catch the light nicely. This 'Fire Red' version is just so clean in person. It's a shoe that looks great with jeans or shorts. Honestly, the 4s have a chunkier profile that works really well for a lot of fits. Let's talk on-feet. Slipping into these "Jordan 4s", the fit is true to size for me. The lockdown is good, but the comfort... it's not modern, you know? There's cushioning, but it's firm. It's that classic "Air Jordan" feel – supportive, not plush. If you want a cloud-like ride, look elsewhere. Now, the not-so-great part? They can feel a bit heavy and clunky, especially if you're used to lighter sneakers. The toe box area might also feel restrictive for some foot shapes. It's not the most forgiving fit. So, if you prioritize all-day, cloud-like comfort, this might not be your first choice.
