The 'Military Blue' accents against the white and grey work so well. The mesh panels and those plastic wing eyelets give it that unique "Air Jordan 4" texture. In natural light, the materials look great on camera. It's a shoe that has a strong presence without being too loud. A really versatile colorway for the collection. Now, a real con? The break-in period. The back of the collar, where the plastic tab is, can be brutal on your Achilles for the first few wears. Seriously, wear taller socks. Also, the creasing on the toe box leather is pretty inevitable. If you're super picky about keeping your sneakers pristine, that might bug you. It's part of the charm for me, but it's worth mentioning. Comparing it to other Jordans? The "Jordan 4" sits differently than, say, a Jordan 1. It's bulkier, more of a statement. Versus a Jordan 3, the 4 has more of that technical, "machined" look with the mesh panels and plastic wings. Each has its own fan base, but the 4's unique profile is a big part of its charm, in my honest opinion. On foot, the design really pops. The "Jordan 4 Retro" has those signature wings and the mesh netting - it just works. This 'Fire Red' colorway is vibrant in person, way better than in pics. They look great with jeans or shorts. The shape holds up well, and they photograph amazingly for the 'gram. A true head-turner.
