Slipping into this "Jordan 4", the fit is true to size for me. The support around the ankle is "immediate" – you really feel locked in. It's not the lightest shoe, you definitely notice the weight, but it's not uncomfortable. The cushioning from the Air unit is there, but it's more about stability than crazy softness, which I actually prefer for all-day wear. Now, a potential con? The break-in period. Those hard plastic parts "can" rub if you're not wearing the right socks. It's not the most comfortable Jordan out of the box compared to, say, a Jordan 13. So, if you want immediate cloud-like comfort, maybe look elsewhere. Comparing it to other Jordans? The Air Jordan 4 sits differently than, say, an AJ1. It's bulkier, has more of a mid-top feel. Versus an AJ3, the toebox is a bit roomier. I'd say the 4 is one of the more comfortable early Jordan models, but again, it's that retro firmness. It's a distinct silhouette in the Jordan series, no doubt. Who should maybe skip? If you prioritize feather-light weight and maximal cushioning above all else, look at modern running shoes. If you're on a tight budget, there are more affordable options. Also, if you hate noticeable creasing on your sneakers, the Jordan 4's design might stress you out a bit.
