The support is better for me than a Jordan 5. It's a great middle-ground model in the Jordan series. Each has its vibe, but the 4 is iconic. Comparing these to other Jordans? The Air Jordan 4 sits higher than a Jordan 1, for sure. It's bulkier but also offers more ankle support. Versus a Jordan 3, the toe box feels roomier. The Jordan 4 has its own unique vibe – it's sportier and more technical-looking than some of the earlier models in the series. On feet now. The Air Jordan 4 cushioning is... okay. It's firm, not super plush. The lockdown is good, though! The heel tab and wings system work. They're a bit heavier than I expected, honestly. Not the most comfortable Jordan, but it's a solid, supportive feel. Who should maybe skip it? If you're purely chasing performance or the softest step – this isn't it. Also, if you prefer more modern, streamlined silhouettes, the chunky look of the Air Jordan 4 might not be your thing. For $210, you really have to want "this specific" classic look.
