It's bulkier, more of a statement. The cushioning is also different—more impact protection than the 1s, but not as plush as, say, a Jordan 13. It occupies its own unique space in the Jordan series, and that's why it's so beloved. Putting these on, the fit is true to size for me. The Air Jordan 4 isn't the most cushioned shoe ever, but you definitely feel that heel Air unit. The lockdown is good, and they're not too heavy. A comfortable, classic basketball sneaker feel. Now, the not-so-great parts. The break-in period is real – that ankle area can rub. Also, the outsole is flat, so traction on super-slick courts might be iffy. If you want ultimate comfort or performance tech, look elsewhere. This is a lifestyle/retro shoe first. Just keeping it 100% real with you guys. Alright, so I just got the "Nike Air Jordan 4" in the 'Military Blue' colorway. First impression? The shape is "super" clean, and the quality on these is honestly solid for the price point, which is around $210 USD. The grey nubuck feels nice, and that pop of blue? It's a classic for a reason. Really happy with how this retro looks straight out of the box.
