First impression? The shape is "on point" and the color-blocking is super clean. The nubuck feels decent, not the absolute best, but solid for the $210 price tag. Unboxing it, you really feel that classic Jordan series heritage. Let's talk on-feet. Slipping into these Air Jordan 4s, the fit is true to size for me. The lockdown is good, but let's be real—the cushioning isn't modern "boost" level. It's firm, but in a familiar, classic way. You're getting that '80s/90s basketball shoe feel, which I don't mind for casual wear. The weight is noticeable but not overly heavy. Comparing it to other Jordans? The Air Jordan 4 sits differently than, say, an AJ1. It's bulkier, has more of a mid-top feel. Versus an AJ3, the toebox is a bit roomier. I'd say the 4 is one of the more comfortable early Jordan models, but again, it's that retro firmness. It's a distinct silhouette in the Jordan series, no doubt. Who should maybe pass? If you prioritize ultimate comfort above all else—like a Boost or React feel—you might be disappointed. Also, if you have very narrow feet, the fit might feel a bit loose in the toebox area of this Jordan 4.
