First impression? The shape is classic and the color-blocking is super clean. The quality feels solid, especially on that nubuck. It's a timeless look that just works. On foot, the design really pops. The mesh panels and plastic detailing on this 'Military Blue' pair have great contrast. They look even better in person than in pics. The shape is bulky in a good way—it gives you that classic, athletic look. The Nike Air branding on the heel is a perfect finish. A very photogenic sneaker, for sure. Comparing it to other Jordans, the Air Jordan 4 sits in a nice middle ground. It's more substantial than an AJ1, but often more wearable than a bulkier AJ5 or AJ6. For me, it's one of the most versatile silhouettes in the entire Jordan series. Putting these on... the fit is true to size for me. The Air unit in the heel gives a nice, familiar cushioning. It's not the most plush Jordan ever, but it's comfortable for all-day wear. The upper is supportive without being restrictive. For a retro, the Air Jordan 4 still delivers a reliable on-foot feel.
