The lack of that full-length carbon fiber plate and the different upper construction makes them much more flexible / easy to wear from the first step. Comfort? It's there, but it's a different kind of comfortable. Who should maybe pass? If this is your "first" Jordan 11, I’d probably point you to a more classic colorway to experience the original magic. Also, if ultimate, pillow-soft comfort is your #1 priority, you might be disappointed. And if your style is very minimalist, the aggressive design of this "rare air" version could be tough to integrate. Comparing it directly to my regular Jordan 11s... the "rare air" build is sturdier. The leather won't crease like patent leather – that's a major plus! The downside? It loses some of that iconic, glossy "pop". The price is the same, so it's a style choice.
