Just unboxed these "rare air jordan 11" & my first thought is... it's different! The silhouette is familiar but this "Rare Air" treatment? It's wild. You've got this mix of materials & a color-blocking that's way more experimental than your typical AJ11. For $230, you're paying for a bold statement piece, not a safe retro. On foot now, and the first thing I notice is the fit. It's true to size for me! The lockdown around the ankle feels secure, thanks to that patent leather mudguard. The weight is decent... not the lightest shoe ever, but you can definitely feel the quality. For a Jordan 11 model, the comfort is good right out of the box for casual wear. Who should skip it? Hardcore performance basketball players or collectors who only want 100% accurate retros. This is a reinterpretation. Also, if you're on a tight budget at ~$220, there are more technical shoes at that price. But for style? It holds its own. Sliding these on... wow, immediate difference. They feel "lighter" than a traditional Jordan 11, for sure. The lack of that full-length carbon fiber plate and the different upper construction makes them much more flexible / easy to wear from the first step. Comfort? It's there, but it's a different kind of comfortable.
