The simplified branding is only noticeable if someone's really looking up close, which is fine by me. From a design perspective, Jordan Brand nailed the look. The 'Black Gym Red' pair I have is fire. The Rare Air treatment simplifies the construction – fewer layers, no Nike Air tongue tag – but keeps the soul. It's a modern interpretation. I appreciate that they didn't mess with the core colors. You get the signature style without the signature price tag, which is the whole point.
