.. the difference is in the "materials" and "construction". The retro uses heavier leather and has that encapsulated Air cushioning. This Rare Air Jordan 3 uses simpler materials to hit that lower $150 price point. It's not "worse," just "different". If you want the premium OG feel, get the retro. If you want the look for less, this is it. Styling these is where the "rare air jordan 3" shines. The clean white, cement grey, and fire red colorway is timeless. On camera and in person, they pop. The simplified design without the traditional Nike Air on the back makes them feel more modern. For a casual, clean sneaker fit, these are fantastic. They're a great entry point into the Jordan 3 world. On foot now, and the comfort is... decent. It's a retro basketball shoe, so don't expect modern foam. The cushioning is firm but break-in should help. The fit is true to size for me, with a secure wrap around the midfoot. The weight is noticeable but not crazy heavy. For casual wear, these Rare Air Jordan 3s are perfectly fine for walking around town. Now, a potential con: the leather quality. It's not premium tumbled leather; it's a smoother, more plastic-like finish. For some sneakerheads used to the OG molds, this might feel like a downgrade. It's still durable, but don't expect buttery softness. Also, that visible Air unit? Always a risk for cracking over time. Just something to consider for long-term wear.
