The fit is true to size for me. The cushioning feels good—it's that familiar Air unit in the heel. It's comfortable right out of the box. The "rare air jordan 3" has a slightly different construction, so the ankle collar feels a bit less restrictive than the OG. It's a nice, easy wear for all-day use. Comparing these to a standard "Air Jordan 3 Retro"... the main difference is obviously that missing elephant print. Some purists might miss it, but I think it gives the "Rare Air" version its own identity. The silhouette is 100% the iconic "Jordan 3" shape, though. It's lighter on the branding, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're after. Comparing it to other Jordans? It's definitely more of a lifestyle piece than, say, a Jordan 38 for ball. Next to an OG Jordan 3, you miss that "Nike Air" hit, but the overall vibe is similar. I think it sits nicely between a retro and a more modern, simplified take. For the Jordan series, it's a respectful nod. On camera and in person, this colorway really works. The white, grey, and that infrared-ish hit on the eyelets pop without being loud. The lack of the elephant print on the toe is a "major" departure from a standard Jordan 3. Some purists might hate it, but I think it makes this Rare Air version look super sleek and modern. It's a simplified take.
