The upper is supportive, the fit is true-to-size for me, and the weight is average. If you're familiar with the Jordan series, you know what you're getting here – it's not a performance beast, it's a lifestyle shoe through and through. Comparing these directly to my classic 'Bred' 4s is night and day. The traditional 4 feels heavier, more structured, and "tank-like." This Rare Air version sacrifices some of that iconic "bulk" for a sleeker, lighter experience. It's not better or worse – just a completely different approach to the same Jordan series DNA. Potential con? Breathability. Without the traditional mesh side panels, your feet might get a little warmer. Also, as I said, the comfort is more about structure than soft cushioning. If you're buying Jordans "purely" for all-day comfort walks, these Rare Air 4s probably aren't your first pick. They're more style-forward. On foot now, and wow — the biggest plus is the weight. These Rare Air Jordan 4s are "noticeably" lighter than my retro 4s. The breathable mesh panels on the tongue and sides? You can actually feel air moving. The cushioning is firm, classic Jordan, but that reduced bulk is a game-changer for all-day wear. A huge pro for comfort.
