I unboxed this "wmns Air Jordan 1" 'University Blue' and the leather feels decent - not buttery premium, but definitely better than some GR releases. For $180 USD, it's what I expect. The color blocking is "clean", classic AJ1 silhouette. It's a great-looking shoe straight out of the box, no doubt. Comparing it to my other Jordans... the "Air Jordan 1" is just different. Versus a Jordan 13? No comparison in comfort. But for pure, simple style? The AJ1 wins. This "WMNS" version specifically fits my foot (I'm a women's size) better than some unisex pairs. It's a solid, "no-fuss" addition to the rotation. Sliding these WMNS Air Jordan 1s on... okay, immediate thoughts. The fit is true to size for me. The ankle padding and overall construction gives you that secure, locked-in feel - it's supportive! Now, the "footbed" - let's be real, it's not plush like a modern sneaker. It's firm, classic basketball court feel. But for casual wear? It's totally fine. Just know what you're getting into with an OG model. Is it worth the $180 price tag? Honestly, yes — if you value the iconic look and don't mind the classic Jordan 1 break-in process. It's a premium version of a legend. But if comfort is your #1 priority right out of the box, you might want to look at other models within the Jordan series that offer more modern cushioning.
