.. the 'Shimmer' colorway is honestly stunning in hand. The mix of that soft suede & the pearlized accents? "Chef's kiss". The shape & build quality feel solid right out of the box—no major flaws on my pair. For $225 USD, this Jordan release feels premium. My initial impression is super positive, it's a beautiful shoe. Who should maybe skip it? If you're all about that cloud-like, all-day comfort – this isn't it. The Jordan 4 is a lifestyle piece first. Also, if you're rough on your shoes, that suede and shimmer might not hold up well. It's a shoe you wear with a bit of intention, not for heavy-duty beaters. Comparing it to my other J's — like a Jordan 1 — the 4 is definitely heavier & more structured. The ankle collar is higher, giving more of that "locked-in" feel. I actually prefer the support of the "wmns air jordan 4 retro" for all-day wear vs. some newer models. Major pro: it's a durable, well-made shoe. Con? It can feel a bit stiff at first. Now, a potential con? The breathability. Those plastic wing eyelets and the durable upper don't let much air in. If you're in a hot climate, your feet might get warm. It's a trade-off for the structure and that classic look, but it's something to consider!
